Perform crucial flight calculations using the bezel with slide rule. Hamilton has expanded its pilot watch collection with models that make calculating and converting exceptionally easy.
The watch is distinguished by its bidirectional rotating bezel, whose logarithmic graduations interact with the fixed scale around the dial. This creates a “slide rule” that allows mathematical calculations to be performed during flight. It can be used for important factors such as airspeed, distance, fuel consumption, climb or descent rate, and flight time. In fact, it operates on the same principles as the E6B “Whiz Wheel,” a paper flight computer still widely used in modern pilot training.
The slide rule bezel is also useful for unit conversions, such as kilometers to nautical miles, pounds to kilograms, feet to meters, or even currency conversions when flying abroad.
